The Big Game

So, I'll be hobnobbing with other IV leaders this Wednesday night. When other people ask me what I'm the leader of, I'll just tell them I'm the leader of these big beefy arms I use to move speakers with ;)

It should be interesting.

No, why do you ask? It was humor, not sarcasm. I have accepted my place within the organization, but I still think it's funny that I'm technically a "leader". Leaders usually "lead" people. Since I don't have any people under me in a direct sense, the joke is that I "lead" my muscles. Get it? :D

Well, my sense of humor often exists to satisfy myself before others :D. Or perhaps a better way to put it is, "I think I am funny, but other people do not sometimes."

The meeting went well. I enjoyed seeing people I feel like I haven't seen in a million years, and was able to share with others the way that the Lord has helped me recently, so that was great. It was really awesome to see my friends gain who I feel like it's been forever since I've seen them...

Sometimes our leadership lies in the way we live and conduct ourselves. Others are always watching...and you may never know how God uses your life to speak to others. When I was a teenager and worked at Macy's one Christmas, wrapping gifts for people...they would sometimes be picky or grouchy from standing in line but I would just do my very best to make their packages look really beautiful. I got several comments about how peaceful I was. I was able to share with people where that peace comes from. Was I technically a leader over them? No. But I led them to an understanding of where to get something they recognized as valuable. Don't underestimate what God is doing with you.
